Managing VIP Administrators

Select Account in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Select Create VIP Administrators in the Links pane on the right side of the page.

Enter the administrator's first and last name, as well as an associated email address for account sign-in.

Optionally, enter a valid credential ID if you wish to assign a credential to this VIP administrator.

If you do not wish to assign a credential during account creation, you can still do so by modifying the account at a later time or by having the administrator register the credential during sign-in.

Select permissions unique to the administrator. Once permissions have been selected and saved, those permissions are pre-selected by default if you subsequently modify permissions.

Select Create Administrator to create the VIP administrator account and return to the VIP Manager Home page, or select Create and Add Another Administrator to create another VIP administrator account.

Find a specific VIP administrator based upon the administrator's account name, email address, permissions, credential ID, current status, group, or administrators without a group. You can search for a VIP administrator to modify, enable, disable, or unlock the associated account. To search for a VIP administrator:

Select Account in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Select Find / Modify VIP Administrators in the Links pane on the right side of the page.

Select a data type from the Search By drop-down list to filter your search.

Type or select your search criteria in the Search Criteria field:

If you are searching for an account by first or last name, email address, or credential ID, type the search data in the Search Criteria field.

If you are searching for an account by its status or group, select the applicable status or group from the Search Criteria drop-down list.

If you are searching for accounts with particular permissions, select the applicable checkboxes in the Search Criteria field.

If you are searching for administrators without membership to any administrator group, no additional criteria is required.

To modify a first or last name or email address, type the information in the applicable fields.

To assign a credential to the account, type a valid credential ID in the Credential ID field.

To remove an existing credential ID that is assigned to the account, click the Remove credential link.

Change permissions for this account, as applicable.

Highlighted permissions designate those permissions associated with an administrator group. If the administrator is a member of a group, do one of the following:

Select Use default permissions associated with group membership to assign only the permissions associated with the group. You cannot add, remove, or change these permissions.

Select Use a custom role to assign the permissions associated with the group, and to allow you to add other permissions. You can add any available permission that does not conflict with a permission assigned by the group. You cannot remove or modify a permission added by the group.
If you later remove these additional permissions, the administrator reverts to Use default permissions associated with group membership.

Group permissions are additive. If an administrator is a member of multiple administrator groups, the administrator inherits all of the permissions assigned by all of the groups.

Click Save Changes to update the VIP Manager user database with your account changes.

Enable a VIP administrator account if the account is disabled and you want the administrator to access and use VIP Manager. Conversely, you can disable a VIP administrator account if you no longer want the administrator to access and use VIP Manager.
