VIP Policy Configuration

You can view and configure the expiration policy for temporary security codes generated by VIP administrators in VIP Manager or requested by end users in the VIP Self Service Portal. The expiration policy includes the maximum validity period that VIP administrators can set for temporary security codes, and the default validity period for temporary security codes sent to your end users.

If you disable generating temporary security codes, VIP administrators cannot generate a temporary security code for themselves when signing in. VIP Administrators that do not have access to their credentials must request a temporary security code from another administrator. That administrator must have the VIP Administrator Management (Modify) permission to generate a temporary security code for an administrator.

You might set this policy for administrators that share a single VIP Manager log in credential.

To generate a temporary security code for another VIP administrator, search for that VIP administrator as described in Finding a VIP Administrator Account and click Get Code for that administrator. This option is not available if you enable generating temporary security codes.

To set the Temporary Security Code Policy:

Select Policies in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Select the "Account" tab.

Click the Edit link to configure the Temporary Security Code policy settings.
