VIP Policy Configuration

You can view and configure the policy for VIP Enterprise Gateway. This policy allows you to:

Configure the RADIUS Access-Challenge mode policy for end user validation.

You must have installed a Validation server in RADIUS Access-Challenge mode and have purchased SMS or Voice credentials in order to configure this policy.

In RADIUS Access-Challenge mode, the Validation server automatically requests the VIP Service to send a security code to end users that have SMS (Text Message) or Voice Call credentials during validation. However, since VIP Services cannot determine to which credential the security code should be sent, the end user can have only one SMS or Voice Call credential registered at a time. The end user can enable any other type of credential(up to the maximum allowed for the account), though if an SMS or Voice Call credential is registered to the user, a security code will always be sent to that SMS or Voice Call credential for each validation.

Enable enterprise login ID mapping to allow your IDP proxy to return a login ID other than the user ID stored in VIP Services.

If the user name entered by a user when logging in differs from the user name associated with the user in VIP Services, then VIP Services will map this login ID to the user ID so that the user can log in without issue. For example, the user may need to enter a domain as part of the user name (like finance\john_doe, rather than john_doe). If you enable this policy, VIP Services will be able to recognize the user name.
